一、本节教学目标

1.知识目标:

(1)通过会话交流学习“forty, fifty, sixty, seventy, eighty, ninety, hundred,

take, subway, train, minute, by, by bus”这些单词;

(2)让学生能学会使用“How do you get to school? How long does it take?”这

些句子,并让学生能准确而流利的回答这些问题。

2.能力目标

(1)发展学生听、说、读、写的能力;

(2)训练学生的小组合作学习能力;

(3)培养学生运用英语交际的能力。

3.情感目标

使学生能与人愉快合作,并互相帮助。

二、教学重点

1. 帮助学生运用英语彼此沟通;

2. 使学生具备小组学习与合作交流的技能。

三、教学难点:“Take”一词的用法

四、教学过程

(一)复习旧知导入新课

(1)自由会话

四个小组派代表抽取谈论话题,准备做一个小对话。

①Talk about date, week, weather of today (谈今天几号,星期几,天气如何); ② Ask your partner’s age and your partner’s father or mother’s age and career.(寻

问对方的年龄及其父母的年龄及职业)

③ Ask your partner’s timetable, such as when to get up, when to have breakfast, when to go to school, when to go home, when to go to bed

etc.(寻问对方的作息时间,如每天何时起床,何时吃早餐,何时上学,何时回家,何

时睡觉等等)

④Ask your partner’s and his friends’ or his parents’ birthday寻问对方及朋友或家人生日。

设计意图:在课堂上为学生们创设一个良好的英语氛围是极其重要的,这就需要教师尽量为学生们提供能够温故而知新的真实的情景。通过以上情景的设置可以使学生们更自然,更流利,更准确的将数字运用到自己的情景对话中,将数字赋予意义,而不是机械的数数。此环节学生以四人一组或两人一组活动,学生们要合作互助才能共同完成好任务。

(2)利用多媒体课件出示forty—hundred等代表或用数字表达含义的图片,(因课前留有预习本节内容的作业,故如有学生能准确读出教师呈现的新数字单词,教师就给该同学所在组加1分)。 在此环中要将本节所有表示数字的英文单词全部都呈现完。完成书中P20页的2a\ 2b的数字巩固练习。

设计意图:十四、五岁的学生大多都有好胜的心理,通过小组之间的竞争,可以促进他们在课前对新知道进行预习与自学。从而逐渐的培养他们自主学习的能力,尤其是对那些聪明又稍微有些懒惰的孩子来说,他们不会甘心课上只听别人说,而自己却没有表现的机会。此方法可以促进他们在课前对知识的预习,从而提高课堂的听课效果。本节课此环节的设计是为了下一步重点句子How long does it take?的呈现扫清词汇的障碍。

(3)导入新课:大屏幕出示教师本人乘公共汽车上班图片。

教师导语:I usually take the bus to school. It usually takes twenty

minutes to school. Although my home isn’t far from my school. I’m quite lazy.

I don’t want to walk to work. What about you? How do you get to school? How long does it take? Today let’s talk about how you go from one place to another and we’ll talk about the time it takes to get to places.(我通常是坐公共汽车上, 一般要花上二十分钟。虽然我家离学校不远,但我比较懒,不想走着去上班。你们呢,你们每天怎么去上学?要用多长时间? 那今天就让我们来讨论一下从一个地点到别一地点乘坐什么样的交通工具如何表达、如何寻问及乘坐此交通工具所用的时间怎样说。)

师板书:Unit 4 Section A How do you get to school? How long does it take? 设计意图:教师用本人实际生活的图片导入新课容易引起学生的兴趣。

(二)自主学习

教师通过大屏幕展示各种交通工具的图片及单词。要求学生不会的单词自己查找词典并将单词图片连线(教师限制学生自学时间为5分钟)5分钟后教师找一名学生到前面操作电脑,由学生们自由发言说出图片与单词的对应答案。

师板书:(在学生自学时教师板书单词)bus ,subway, train, plane, car , 设计意图:培养学生使用工具书自己解决学习中所遇问题的能力。

(三)合作学习

1. 词汇演练(抢答游戏):设计一组交通工具图片依次出现在大屏幕上,找一名学生操作

电脑,教师要求各小组学生自由抢答出交通工具的名称,为第一个说出答案的学生所在的组加一分。

设计意图:熟练掌握本节所用交通工具。为下一环节打好基础。

2. 句型演练

(A)师与S1对话:"I take the bus to school. How do you get to school?” S1回答后要求其继续问下一个同学相同的问题。即根据教师板书的交通工具以one by one 的形式操练此句型。(1组和2组纵向one by one 的形式)

(B)教师在大屏幕上出示三幅学生们正在使用交通工具的图片。师问S2: “How do you

get to school?” S2可能答: “I take the taxi to school.” 师要求S2用另外一种方式回答此问题,如该学生不能答出可要其它同学帮助。二、三图选用的交通工具是自行车和步行。 这样较特殊的ride a bike 与by bike 的转换,walk 与on foot 的转换学生们便都注意到了。师要求学生们以一人问,两人用不同方法答的形式操练。 教师板书:ride a bike 及I walk to school. I get to school on foot.

(C)教师在大屏幕上出示教师乘公车上班的图片并附加钟表图。

师与S4对话: 师:I get to school by bus. It takes twenty minutes. How do you

get to school? S4答:…… 师再问:How long does it take? S4答:……

师要求学生准备1分钟后同桌互问,操练句型How do you get to school? How long does

it take?

设计意图:通过由简单的操练,到师生、生生指导与交流使学生能达到熟练掌握本节重点句型的目的,为学生下一步的运用语言进行真实的情景交际,获取自己所需信息做好准备。

(四)合作互动

1. 按要求四人合作编写一组对话,教师在大屏幕上出示要求,即:

How does she /he /your mother father get to ……?

How long does it take?

交通工具: taxi / bike / subway / on foot

设计意图:此环节的设计也主要是对本节重点内容的一个巩固,使学生能更灵活地运用所学句型进行交际。此练习可以培养学生的创造性及发散性思维能力。通过四人一组的分组活动可以促进学生们之间的交流,每组的学生层次不同,通过小组活动可以让中等生带动学困生,优等生带动全组同学。在小组活动中,通过分工与角色的不同可以让不同层次的学生都得到锻炼,让优等生有成功感,因为他们可能是整个小组任务的“导演”,让学困生有参与感,让他们觉得在这节课中他们也学会了点东西,也有表现的机会。

(五)精讲点拨

突破本节难点:即take 一词的用法

教师指出板书中含有take一词的两个句子置疑:take 一词在两句中的用法有何不同。如有学生可以回答出来就让学生总结,如没有学生能说出教师则直接在大屏幕上出示其用法小结。

1.take 表示“乘、坐”某一交通工具。如:

My father usually takes a bus to work. 我爸爸常乘公共汽车去上班。

注意: take 和 by 都有“乘、坐”之意。

Take 是一个动词,后面接具体的交通工具,且在表示该交通工具的名词前一般应有冠词等修饰语;而 by 是一个介词,它后面所跟的表示交通工具的名词前一般不可用冠词等修饰语。 by 短语在句中修饰动词等作状语。

即:Take +a/the +交通工具 By + 交通工具

如: 格林先生经常乘火车去上班。

Mr Green often goes to work by train.

Mr Green often takes a train to work.

2. take 表示“花费时间”之意,其常用句型为“ It takes sb. some time to do sth. ” 如:It takes me half an hour to do my homework in the evening. 晚上我要花半小时做作业。

以小题篇的形式当堂反馈时发给学生。反馈共分三组。

第一组练习:本组反馈题面向全体学生,尤其是对学困生。本组题虽说主要是考查学生对本节基本词汇的掌握情况,对于优等生来说此组题是非常简单的,但对于学困生和中等偏下的学生来说可以使他们在一节课下来也会感到学到了很多东西,让他们觉得学会英语也并不是很难,让他们也有成就感,可以增强他们学习英语的自信心。

第二组练习:本组题的设计也是面向全体学生。 反馈题共分三个类型,由易到难从听、读、写三个方面考查学生对本节所学习知识点的掌握情况。将考试中需要学生注意的典型问题出示给学生, 让学生能抓住考点。本组听力题的设计,虽然现在中考中并不考查听力,但对于英语这一门语言学科来说,听辨语言的能力是至关重要的,对于学生英语听能力的培养,对于他们终身的语言学习都是至关重要的,所以在我们日常的教学中不应当忽视对听力的训练。

设计意图:通过最后的“教师寄语”对学生进行德育渗透。让学生们明白:一天之际在于晨,同学们应该懂得惜时如金,努力学习!

五、教学反思:

本节的教学目标是让学生能学会使用“How do you get to school? How long does it take?”这些句子,并让学生能准确而流利的回答这些问题。在整个的课堂教学中我认为我的导入部分还是比理想的,达到了预期的效果,学生见到的是我早晨上班挤公车的情境还是比较感兴趣的,于是他们也就很自然的与我进入了本节课的正题,自然而然的导入了新课。让我始料不及的是在本节课的难点突破上,虽然学生们在句型演练中能较自如的运用“take”一词,在精讲点拔时,我也重点讲解了“take”与“by”的区别,但是从学生当堂反馈的练习题中可看出部分学生还有并未真正的理解这两个词的用法,课后我还找来了这几个同学进行面批面改,并询问其错误原因――他们无法理解为什么“take”就一定要用在句中的主语之后,而“by”就一定要用在句末,所以我就在思考,在学生进入八年级,他们已经有了小学四到五年的英语基础,再加上初中七年级这一年对小学所学英语的巩固与新知识的进一步学习,我们可以对他们所学英语知识适时的做些必要的语法讲解,让他们知其然并知其所以然。
