玉池小学 贝晶晶 一、教材编写的目的
本套教材编写的目的是激发学生学习英语的兴趣，培养他们学习英语的积极态度，使他们进一步建立学习英语的自信心；培养学生具有更高的语感、语音、语调的基础，以及良好的学习习惯；进一步提高学生用英语进行日常交流的能力。同时培养学生的观察、记忆、思维、想象和创造能力。进一步了解中西方文化的不同为学生的进一步学习奠定良好的基础。
二．教材编写思路
以话题为纲，交际功能为线，知识的总--分--总的单元结构，由感知到理性，由易到难阶梯式的编写，运用英语去完成任务为目标。
三．教材特点
1．强调语言运用。本教材体现交际教学思想，注重学生语言应用能力的培养。
2、突出兴趣激发。教学形式多样化，其中包括对话、歌谣、小诗、歌曲、游戏、任务、绘画、故事、图文并茂等等来激发学生学习兴趣。
3、重视双向交流和中西文化的介绍。本册介绍中西方称呼姓与名顺序的不同 ，西方国家涉及星期的主要节日以及我国传统节日所吃的食物等。 1
4、重视灵活扩展。充分考虑学校老师学生个体的差异。A、B部分要求掌握，C部分可以选学。
除了以上特点之外，还增加了Let’s start，让大家一起来动脑筋思考、和Let’s try来练习学生的听力。
四、教材内容分析
1、小学英语五年级上册共有6个单元，2个复习单元。每单元分“A B C”三大部分，22个小部分组成，A、B部分分别呈现一个语法的不同方面，C部分是巩固和运用部分，而且还增加了语音、歌谣、故事等等内容，共12页。复习单元有两篇阅读练习，有听力练习、韵录诗、游戏、歌曲等6页。其中有九个语法，而且形容词作表语、描绘人物、have的不同用法、There be句型含义及它的各种句型can的含义及它的各种句型的运用Would you like ... ... ?的运用是语法教学的重点。
2、每个单元有五星的单词和短语是词汇教学的重点，要求学生能听懂、会读、会认、会说、会写。大部分基本能用。
3、每个单元都是由Let’s start 、Let’s chant、Let’slearn... ...22个部分组成，每个部分是紧紧相扣的
4、全册6个Let’s start、14个Let’s chant、12个Let’s learn、8首歌、6个故事等等。

五、学生情况分析
五年级的学生，已学习了两年的英语，有了语音、语调、语感、英语语言的基础。由于农村的地理条件差，所学习的内容多、容量大，掌握不牢。
六、 教学背景分析
学生学习所在的教室布置一般，图书馆的资源多、有录音机、学校重视不够，课时少。留守儿童多，大部分家长不重视、监督不到位、学习氛围不浓、大部分学生学习的积极性不高，给教学工作地顺利进行带来很多的障碍。
七、根据以上的情况，在教学英语中，我们要根据自己学生的实际情况，有选择地、灵活地安排教学内容，有针对性地设计课堂教学活动，以保证教学实施难易度合理。采取多样的、适用的方式方法来激发学生的学习兴趣，如象尽可能多地利用直观教学手段，如词卡、图卡、挂图、幻灯片、课件、多媒体、活动、竞赛、评价等等，以促进他们知识的衔接。
总之，我认为新课标教材对于乡村学生来说，内容偏多，难度较大。
