In order to protect the environment from the pollution of plastics, a nationwide campaign against plastic bags has been carried out since June 1st, 2008 by the government.
The policy requires that supermarkets shouldn’t give customers free plastic bags; they have to pay for every single plastic bag. This action really has a great effect on our shopping habits. When we do shopping now, we have to prepare some bags in advance in order to save unnecessary expense, which really brings about a little inconvenience.
Inconvenience as it causes, I still think the policy is reasonable. Since the environmental problem is becoming more and more serious, the government has put much emphasis on it. The policy’s being carried out will greatly help the construction of an environment-friendly society and improve people’s life quality. We only need to change a little of our shopping habits, and we will give our next generation a better earth to live on. What a good behaviour!
So I support the nationwide campaign against plastic bags policy.

On June 1st, 2008, a nationwide campaign against plastic bags was practiced in our country formally and it has caused some changes in our daily life. For instance, when we go to the supermarkets we have to carry some bags instead of using the bags provided by the supermarket.
Some people think that it is a tiresome thing for them to carry the bags, but I just stand on a different view.
