White Fang

What impressed me most is the part that White Fang broke the window, cutting it’s head but running to it’s owner. It is exactly a moving scene in our daily life. The wolf is the animal of violence and cold-blood in peoples minds. But they have kindness inward sometimes.Scott managed to used his patience and love of lives to recall the goodness of a wolf, certainly,at a price of a bite.Wild animal is just like human,if you treat them kindly, they will do the same,or even risk it’s life for you.

Macbeth

I wondered why Shakespeare wrote a story of a bad guy who was so greedy and mad. Then I thought that I’ve got the answer: William wanted to warning us readers.Macbesth was a man who was blinded by the power, not knowing that power can bring nothing forever but restlessness. Is there any thing more valuable than a peaceful life, without fighting or suffering?Maybe the peace of other, but it doesn’t mind Macbeth. All his desire made this misery.

The lost world

To my surprise this book was written by Conan Doyle. Now I’ve known how imaginative he was.The story showed the characters’ personality perfectly by describing their conversation, expression and thought inward. What impressed me most is the part that the two professors who turned out to be enemies in a week ago shooke their hands for truth.

Jane Eyre

Jane was the woman who just faced the cold world with her pure warm heart. She never lost her hope ,her belief ,her courage and her self-resbect.That was why she finally lead a good life---finding her true love and staying by his side as she always wished.Even though that’s the ending which most woman won’t regard it as a happy ending,Jane was surely content with it.That was the true love only once in a lifetime.

Wuthering Heights

To be honest,I didn’t figure out what this story really wanted to tell. The relationship among the character was very complex, and the conflict was exciting. Those were what made the story attractive, like the seasoning which arouse the appetite. From this novel, I’ve ‘learned that we should not be drived by jealousy but kindness , not for someday people will treat you back but for our conscience.

Robinson Crusoe

This story took place on a barren island where was only one human being----our hero Robinson .Which was unbelievable was that he had lived there 27 years long, depending on his wisdom and bare hand.Never losing his hope,he finally got to his hometown. That brave and experienced man perfectly showed the vitality and intelligence of human.

In this summer, I read another book Wuthering Heights. Wuthering Heights is written by Emily Bronte. After reading that book, the love and the hatred between Catherine and Heath Cliff still linger in my head.

The story begun with a mistake that made by Lockwood, a temporary resident. He is seeking shelter from the blizzard he staggers through the door of Wuthering Heights, finding the atmosphere inside is just as cold as ice. The master of the house, Heath Cliff, provides a bed reluctantly and it seems like that he feels ill at ease with his visitor’s coming. There's a sad tale behind his indifference, one which the elderly housekeeper Nelly Dean is happy to share.

Forty years ago, Wuthering Heights was filled with light, warmth and happiness. Mr.Earnshaw, a congenial gentleman farmer, lives happily with his boisterous children Cathy and Hindley. However, being a kind and generous fellow, he can't help rescuing a poor starving wretch off of the streets of Liverpool, a gypsy child named Heath Cliff. In time Heath Cliff becomes one of the family, loved by all people except Hindley, the son of Mr.Earnshaw . Cathy is an especially good childhood friend, spending many a happy day playing on the moor with Heath Cliff. Unfortunately Mr.Earnshaw dies suddenly; Hindley is able to express his enmity with damning cruelty. In order to air his grievance, he reduced Heath Cliff to a servant.

Later, Catherine is forced to marry Edgar. Heath Cliff’s heart is broken, so he leaves Wuthering Heights. After three years, he comes back to Wuthering Heights with wealth. Catherine has married Edgar, but not happiness. Heath Cliff begins to revenge crazily. He takes away Hindley’s belongings by gambling. Then, Hindley gets drunk and die, his son Hareton became slaves. Heath Cliff also marries Edgar's sister Isabella deliberately and persecute her in all the ways. Catherine is miserable inside and then dies of dystocia. Ten years later, Heath Cliff makes Edgar’ daughter Catherine marry to his dying son Linton. Edgar and small Linton dies, Heath Cliff owes Edgar’s property finally. Heath Cliff revenges successfully, but he couldn’t stop missing the dead Catherine, and then he dies. Small Catherine and Hareton inherit all

the property and they finally fall in love with each other.

Actually, there isn’t such a character that I really like in Wuthering Heights. Every character seems teemed with agony and animosity, especially Heath Cliff. Heath Cliff is an orphan before Mr. Earnshaw adopts him, and in the novel, Mr. Earnshaw treats Heath Cliff even nicer than his own son, Hindley Earnshaw. It’s quite amazing that in spite of Earnshaw’s nice treatment, Heath Cliff has no gratitude at all, he revenged Hindley and Catherine, even their heirs. After reading Heath Cliff’s story, my feeling is complicated, although he is the avenger who dominate the whole story by using his vengeful machinations, he is also the most pitiful guy in Wuthering Heights; he doesn’t know what is love and don’t know how to love. Heath Cliff has lived with the Earnshaws for more than 10 years, but there is no attachment between him and the whole family except Catherine. However, even Catherine was died because of Heath Cliff’s torture. When he is torturing others, he is also giving himself a suffering.

Catherine, the heroine in the book, is described as a capricious and selfish girl. She is just like Heath Cliff, doesn’t know how to love at all.

Anyway, Wuthering Heights left an indelible impression on me, cold and withering. However, at the end of the book, the author shows us that the human being’s kindness is not diminished at Wuthering heights, even though the wind can break off a tree, that doesn’t mean it can break off the whole forest. Even though hatred destroyed Heath Cliff, Catherine, Edgar and Elizabeth’s happiness, that doesn’t mean Cathy and Hareton’s happiness.

1Published in 1847, WUTHERING HEIGHTS was not well received by the reading public, many of whom condemned it as sordid, vulgar, and unnatural--and author Emily Bronte went to her grave in 1848 believing that her only novel was a failure. It was not until 1850, when WUTHERING HEIGHTS received a second printing with an introduction by Emily's sister Charlotte, that it attracted a wide readership. And from that point the reputation of the book has never looked back. Today it is widely recognized as one of the great novels of English literature. Even so, WUTHERING HEIGHTS continues to divide readers. It is not a pretty love story; rather, it is swirling tale of largely unlikeable people caught up in obsessive love that turns to dark madness. It is cruel, violent, dark and brooding, and many people find it extremely unpleasant. And yet--it possesses a grandeur of language and design, a sense of tremendous pity and great loss that sets it apart from virtually every other novel written. The novel is told in the form of an extended flashback. After a visit to his strange landlord, a newcomer to the area desires to know the history of the family--which he receives from Nelly Deans, a servant who introduces us to the Earnshaw family who once resided in the house known as Wuthering Heights. It was once a cheerful place, but Old Earnshaw adopted a "Gipsy" child who he named Heathcliff. And Catherine, daughter of the house, found in him the perfect companion: wild, rude, and as proud and cruel as she. But although Catherine loves him, even recognizes him as her soulmate, she cannot lower herself to marry so far below her social station. She instead marries another, and in so doing sets in motion an obsession that will destroy them all. WUTHERING HEIGHTS is a bit difficult to "get into;" the opening chapters are so dark in their portrait of the end result of this obsessive love that they are somewhat off-putting. But they feed into the flow of the work in a remarkable way, setting the stage for one of the most remarkable structures in all of literature, a story that circles upon itself in a series of repetitions as it plays out across two generations. Catherine and Heathcliff are equally remarkable, both vicious and cruel, and yet never able to shed their impossible love no matter how brutally one may wound the other. As the novel coils further into alcoholism, seduction, and one of the most elaborately imagined plans of revenge it gathers into a ghostly tone: Heathcliff, driven to madness by a woman who is not there but who seems reflected in every part of his world--dragging her corpse from the grave, hearing her calling to him from the moors, escalating his brutality not for the sake of brutality but so that her memory will never fade, so that she may never leave his mind until death itself. Yes, this is madness, insanity, and there is no peace this side of the grave or even beyond. 2The boo

k,Wuthering Heihts written in 1847,by Emily Bronte. It is a very good novel. The story in this novel deeply moved everyone who had read it and the structure of this novel is very fresh. At first I will tell you the main plot about Wuthering Heights. The story is narrated by Lockwood, a gentleman visiting the Yorkshire moors where the novel is set, and of Mrs Dean, housekeeper to the Earnshaw Family, who had been witness of the interlocked destinies of the original owners of the Heights. Described the love and enmity between Earnshaw and Linton’s family, especially Heathcliff and Catherine’s deeply love. Heathcliff is brought to Heights from the streets of Liverpool by Mr Earnshaw. Heathcliff is treated as Earnshaw’s own children, Catherine and Hindley. Heathcliff is bullied by Hindley after Earnshaw death and his lover Catherine marries Edgar Linton for many factors. This made Heathcliff mad, his destructive force is unleashed and his first victim is his beloved, Catherine, who dies giving birth to a girl, another Catherine(Kathy). Edgar’s sister, whom he had married, flees to the south. Their son Linton and Kathy are married, but always sickly Linton dies. After that, Hareton, Hindley’s son and the young widow fall in love. Increasingly isolated and alienated from daily life, Heathcliff experiences visions, and he longs for the death that will reunite him with Catherine. The story is wonderful, and the structure is also extremely excellent. The author Emily Bronte use a series of flashbacks and time shifts draws a powerful picture of this story. Because of its wonderful story, excellent structure and graceful language, the book left a deep impression on me.From this book, we understand the deeply love and enmity. We find that the enmity always touched by deeply love at the end of the story, true feelings and true love always moved everyone. So we must treat others with true feelings. That’s all I want to say about Wuthering Heights. It’s really a good book. Readers will really gain much from this book. 3I spent twenty days reading this book. After reading this book, I felt for Heathcliff at first. Heathcliff begins his life as a homeless orphan on the streets of Liverpool, and then he tyrannized by Hindley Earnshaw. But he becomes a villain when he acquires power and returns to Wuthering Heights with money and the trappings of a gentleman. His malevolence proves so great and long—lasting. As he himself points out, his abuse of Isabella—his wife is purely sadistic, as he amuses himself by seeing how much abuse she can take and still come cringing back for more.Catherine represents wild nature, in both her high, lively spirits and her occasional cruelty. She loves Heathcliff so intensely that she claims they are the same person. However, her actions are driven in part by her social ambitions, which initially are awakened during her first stay at the Lintons, and which eventually compel her

to marry Edgar. Catherine is free—spirited, beautiful, spoiled, and often arrogant, she is given to fits of temper, and she is torn between her both of the men who love her. The location of her coffin symbolizes the conflict that tears apart her short life. She is buried in a corner of the Kirkyard. In contrast to Catherine, Isabella Linton—Catherine’s sister—in—law represents culture and civilization, both in her refinement and in her weakness. Ultimately, she ruins her life by falling in love with Heathcliff. He never returns her feelings and treats her as a meretool in his quest for revenge on the Linton family.Just as Isabella Linton serves as Catherine’s foil, Edgar Linton serves as Heathcliff’s. Edgar grows into a tender, constant, but cowardly man. He is almost the ideal gentleman. However, this full assortment of gentlemanly characteristics, along with his civilized virtues, proves useless in Edgar’s clashes with his foil. He sees his wife obviously in love with another man but unable to do anything to rectify the situation. Heathcliff, who gains power over his wife, sister , and daughter. The whole story make people’s mood heavy. Fortunately, the end is happy. The author Emily Bronte lived an eccentric, closely guarded life. She was born in 1818, two years after Charlotte—the author of Jane Eyre and a year and a half before her sister Anne, who also became an author. Her father worked as a church rector, and her aunt, who raised the Bronte children after their mother died, was deeply religious. Emily Bronte did not take to her aunt’s Christian fervor, the character of Joseph, a caricature of an evangelical, may have been inspired by her aunt’s religiosity. The Brontes lived in Haworth, a Yorkshire village in the midst of the moors. These wild, desolate expanses—later the setting of Wuthering Heights—made up the Brontes daily environment, and Emily lived among them her entire life. She died in 1848, at the age of thirty.

A story of Love and Revenge

------The Impression of Wuthering Heights Wuthering Height, which was written by Emily Bronte’s, was published in 1847. The reason I chose this book is because the title attracted me.

The book was mainly about the love story between Catherine and Heathcliff. After reading the book, I thought a lot. As an orphan, Heathcliff started his life miserably. After being adopted by homeless Earnshaw his life changed. Soon after, he fell in love with Catherine. They would have led a happy life if Heathcliff were not looked down upon by Catherine’s brother. Fortunately, both Heathcliff and Catherine found their own love in the end.

However, there is still something I cannot fully understand. Many people in the world are trying to find a perfect companion. Some of them get married but don’t know what their new wife or husband is like. This kind of situation often leads to separation or hostility, just like Heathcliff and his wife, Esabella. When Esabella married Heathcliff, she didn’t really know Heathcliff, and after she married him she found that Heathcliff was not a gentle man at all. Another example of this is that Catherine married Edgar Linton. Although she had been happy at the beginning of the marriage because she thought having parties all the time was going to be fun, after a while, she became bored. She also realized

that she loved Heathcliff more than Edgar Linton, but at that time, it was no use to regret at all. Because of this, she lived a miserable life and died after she gave birth to her little baby. From these tragedies, we know how important it is to choose the right soul mate from a right attitude towards marriage.

After reading this story, I was touched by several parts. The first is about LOVE. There are two kinds of love in this story -- Pure and Selfish. Pure love can bring happiness to us, but selfish love can ruin a person. The second is about HATE. I deeply feel that hate is a horrible thing. Hate makes the world dark. Hate makes people forget the happy and beautiful things around them. If it can’t be dealt with well, it would influence the next generation. The last is the attitude towards things. Different attitudes produce different results. We can learn that from the different ending of Catherine and. We can see how important a positive attitude is.

Love is everlasting, but hatred is not. What we should do is insist onpure love and don’t let the hatred blind our eyes.

Many people in the world are trying to find a perfect companion. Some of these may marry and not know what their new husband or wife is like. This kind of situation often leads to separation or hostility. Other situations may develop between two friends that stem from jealousy, desire for revenge, uncaring parents, etc. Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights displays several characteristics of destructive relationships. Three of these are uncaring parents, marriage without knowing the person, and jealousy.

Uncaring or unsympathizing parents are shown throughout this story to be an element of destructive relationships. Because Heathcliff gained all the attention from Mr. Earnshaw, Hindley became disassociated from his father. This separation continued until after Mr. Earnshaw had died.Another example is between Hindley and Hareton. Hindley became such a drunk and a gambler that he could not properly care for young Hareton. This led to a separation between Hareton and his father as well. One primary example of an uncaring parent is shown between Heathcliff and his son Linton.Heathcliff did not even want his son for anything except enacting a part of his revenge. This is shown by Linton's fear of Heathcliff and Heathcliff's enmity toward his son. Linton even says "... my father threatened me, and I dread him - I dread him!"(244) to express his feeling about Heathcliff. The hostility and separation between father and son in this book shows that uncaring parents can cause serious damage in relationships with their children.

This element of destructive behavior may stem from an unhappy marriage in which the husbands or wives don't know each other. This had happened between Isabella and Heathcliff. Isabella did not really know Heathcliff when she married him, but after she had married him she saw that Heathcliff was not a gentleman at all. To declare her feelings she wrote "Is Heathcliff a man? If so, is he mad? And if not, is he a devil? I shan't tell my reasons for making this inquiry; but I beseech you to explain, if you can, what I have married ..."(125). Another example of this is when Catherine married Edgar Linton. Although she had been happy at the beginning of the marriage, she thought having parties all the time was going to be fun. Yet, after a while, she became bored. She also realized that she loved Heathcliff more than Edgar and would always love Heathcliff. This

enlightenment created separation between Edgar and Catherine during the final hours of Cathy's life. An additional marriage which was made that was doomed was the one between Catherine and Linton. Because this was a forced marriage, Cathy had not yet learned all she could about Linton.Because she did not know until after the marriage that Linton was selfish and inconsiderate, she became distressed and grew isolated in the house. These three failed marriages described in this novel show that knowing the person you will marry is very important. While these marriages took place, jealousy also took a hold in some relationships. One example of this is when Mr. Earnshaw starts to favor Heathcliff over his own son, Hindley. Because of this, Hindley becomes jealous of young Heathcliff and sets out to make Heathcliff's life a nightmare. Hindley's jealousy becomes evident when he says ,"... be damned you beggarly interloper! and wheedle my father out of all he has; only afterwards show him what you are, imp of Satan."(35). Jealousy was also found very notably in the relationship between Heathcliff and Edgar Linton.

The jealousy between them is expressed when Heathcliff and Edgar start a hostile conversation after Cathy's homecoming at Christmas near the beginning of the book. As the story progresses these two become bitter enemies who will not speak to one another. Another relationship which jealousy ruined is the one between Hareton and Linton. These two become jealous of each other over Cathy's affections. This relationship ends as Hareton and Linton hating each other. These relationships show that jealousy can ruin a relationship very quickly.

Wuthering Heights

Wuthering Heights is Emily Bronte's only novel.and was first published in 1847 .It is not narrated by the author directly but firstly narrated by Ellen (Nelly) Dean who is the housekeeper of Wuthering Heights. The main characters of this novel are Heathcliff and Catherine.Except them, there are also several secondary characters such as Hindly Earnshaw、Edgar Linton 、Isabella Linton 、Catherine Linton and Hereton Earnshaw .

This novel mainly narrated the love between Healthcliff and Catherine, the hatred between Healthcliff and Hindly. Heathcliff was adopted by Catherine's father Mr Earnshaw when he was a child, during their childhood.Hindly, who is Catherine's brother, always asked Heathcliff to do many hard works ,laughed at him , teased him and kooked down upon him. While his sister Catherine loves Heathcliff ,they had a secret"palace"on the hill.Unfortunately, when they all grew up ,Catherine met Linton, who was the lord of Thrushcross Gange,he was not only very handsome but also very gentle and most importantly,he loved Catherine ,too.Facing the preventing of his brother and considering Healthcliff's condiction,Catherine choose to marry Linton. In fact, she wanted to marry Heathcilff. It maked Healthcliff decide to go to another

place to make money and then come back to revenge everybody who have ever prevent he marry Catherine.Several years later,he came back,in order to revenge Linton,he married Linton's sister Isabella and tormented her everyday. One day he was informed that Catherine would die,he went to see her,she has born a little girl but she died.Healthcliff was extremely sad.It added his hatred towards Linton and Hindly. After both of them died,Heathcliff adopted their daughter Little Catherine and Hereton .He treated Hereton in the same way of Hindy had ever used and forced Catherine married his own ill son.He became the owner of Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange and inherited the property of both of them .Soon, his son died ,and Catherine became a young widow.little Catherine and Hereton loves each other, but Heathcliff did not allow them become couple. But when he saw little Catherine's eyes,he thought Catherine, at last,he allowed them marry.

I get two kinds of ideas of this novel after I read it.One is about the choice of Catherine. She loves Heathcliff but she chose another man.In fact,we have to face many choices during our lives. In most cases,it is difficult and impossible for us to make a perfect choice in that when we chose this one we have to quit others. There is no choice in the world always being right or wrong,we often make a choice according to our needs or interests. While ,sometimes,we have to make choices based on others attitudes,it is because that we dare not to be criticized by the public

or do not want to bear the responsibility of the choice we chose. What should we do when we have to make a choice? In my opinion,we should make a choice that we will not regret later and we mostly want to chose. The second idea is about hatred of Heathcliff..Most of his life were spent revenging others,in fact he was not happy at all, although he succeeded in revenging the persons he hated,he got nothing at all at last, except hatred. When we are hurt by someone, what we should do is not to think of some ways to revenge them but to ignore their faults and concentrate on more important things.A person who just knows hatred will never feel happy and will lose his or her own aim of life.

Wuthering Heights

Wuthering Heights was published in 1847, and was the only novel written by Emily Bronte. As we know, Emily Bronte and Charlotte, Anne was together called as three sisters‟ constellation in the English literary history. In 1818, Emily Bronte was born in the poor priest family. With less than two years old, she and her family moved to Howard areas and lived in a remote wilderness, and she never left there. When she was 27 years old, she started to write Wuthering Heights, and published it when she was 29 years old. But

Wuthering Heights was not well received by the reading public, many of whom condemned it as sordid, vulgar, and unnatural--and author Emily Bronte went to her grave in 1848 believing that her only novel was a failure. It was not until 1850, when Wuthering Heights received a second printing with an introduction by Emily's sister Charlotte, that it attracted a wide readership. And from that point the reputation of the book has never looked back. Today it is widely recognized as one of the great novels of English literature.

Wuthering Heights is a story of love and revenge; it is the typical gothic novel. It is told in the form of an extended flashback. After a visit to his strange landlord, a newcomer to the area desires to know the history of the

family--which he receives from Nelly Deans, a servant who introduces us to the Earnshaw family who once resided in the house known as Wuthering Heights. It was once a cheerful place, but Old Earnshaw adopted a "Gipsy" child who he named Heathcliff. And Catherine, daughter of the house,

regarded him as the perfect companion: wild, rude, and as proud and cruel as she. But although Catherine loves him, even recognizes him as her soul mate, she cannot lower herself to marry so far below her social station. She instead marries another, and in so doing sets in motion an obsession that will destroy them all.

Wuthering Heights is not so easy to “get into” , because the description of the environment and the character, the portrait of this obsessive love is so dark and somewhat off-putting. But in this novel there was the flow of the work in a remarkable way setting the stage for one of the most remarkable structures. And these structures circles upon itself in a series of repetitions as it plays out across two generations. Besides, the description of wasteland in the novel gave more impression for readers. Wasteland gives Wuthering Heights rare vigor and charm and gloomier, mysterious, wild, remarkable, full of passion. What‟s more, it is the temperament and charm of Wuthering Heights, and can be summed up in two ways: one is the Wuthering of humanity; the other is the Wuthering of nature.

Wuthering Heights explores the philosophy of humanity. The characters in the novel are full of boldness, wildness and passion which is the human nature and instinct that free from the restrict of social civilization. In this novel, passion

is the key to bring the readers into the story, it does not matter of good and evil, beauty and ugliness, it‟s a real existence for us to experience and think. Wuthering Heights is a story of love, but it is different with other love story. During the whole novel, the female leading role --Catherine rarely use "love" to describe the relationship between her and the male leading role--Heathcliff. But In that night she decided personally the tragic fate of her and Heathcliff, she said „my great miseries in this world have been Heathcliff‟s miseries, and I watched and felt each from the beginning: my great thought in living is himself. If all else perished, and he remained, I should still continue to be; and if all else remained, and he was annihilated, the universe would turn to a mighty

stranger: I should not seem a part of it……I am Heathcliff! He‟s always, always in my mind: not as a pleasure, any more than I is always a pleasure to me, but as my own being.‟ This is the real soul of Catherine, she love Heathcliff, but she can‟t marry with him because of her selfish and the pretentious feature. This is the paradox of love which leads to the tragic end for Catherine and Heathcliff.

Wuthering Heights is a story of revenge. After knowing the decision what Catherine made, Heathcliff left her, left Wuthering Heights. But he came back after several years, and retaliated Catherine and all the people who had jeered and abused him before. When Catherine was going to die, he was extremely cruel and did not give her tenderness and consolation, but said to her„you teach me how cruel you‟ve been-cruel and false. Why did you despise me? Why did you betray your own heart,Cathy? I have not one word of comfort. You deserve this. You have killed yourself.……You love me—then what right bad you to leave me? What right—answer me—for the poor fancy you felt for Linton? Because misery, and degradation, and death, and nothing that God or satan could inflict would have parted us,you, of your own will, did it, you have broken mine. So much the worse for me,that I am strong. Do I want to live? What kind of living will it be when you—oh, God! Would you like to live with your soul in the grave?‟ Yes, Heathcliff hated Catherine so much, because he loved her so much. He must retaliate so that he could be survival from the sadness and the broken heart.

The end of the novel was that Heathcliff committed suicide, his death is a die for their love, and express his undyong love for Catherine. Before he died, he gave up the revenge of the next generation. This reflects that he has a good nature, but because of the cruel reality he loses his nature. The recovery of humanity is a spiritual sublimation and reflects the humanitarian ideals.

Wuthering Heights is a stunning novel; frightening, inexorable, unsettling, filled with unbridled passion that makes one cringe. Even if you do not like it, you should read it at least once--and those who do like it will return to it again and again

I spent twenty days reading this book. After reading this book, Wuthering Heights is a story of love and hatred. Many of the comments concentrate mainly on the human nature shown in the book, both on the pleasant and desperate side. Nevertheless after finishing the book, the most impressive to me is Heathcliff. In the novel, the author of all efforts concentrated on the image portrayed Heathcliff, she pinned his own where all the outrage, compassion and ideals. This has been deprived of human warmth of the outcast in real life to cultivate a strong love and hate, Hindley's whip so that he tasted the cruelty of life, but also he knows how to swallow the insult in the Church of yield can not change the destiny of their own humiliation. He chose resistance. Catherine used to be his faithful partner, They in the common resistance in the germination of sincere love. However, Catherine Heathcliff eventually betrayed, married she did not understand, it does not love Edgar Linton. Cause of this love tragedy is the direct cause of her vanity, ignorance and stupidity, the result is ruin his own youth, love and life, but also ruined her has always been devotedly attached to Heathcliff, but also came close to harm the next generation. Emily Bronte portrayed in this figure, there are sympathetic, they are angry; are sorry, there are flogging; both sorrow for their misfortunes, but also Nuqibuzheng mood is extremely complex. Catherine's betrayal of their miserable fate of marriage is the most significant turning point in the book. It makes Heathcliff filled with immense love into hate; Catherine's death, this chamber burst out like a volcano of hatred has become a crazy revenge motivation.

Heathcliff objective was achieved, he not only made Hindley and Edgar miserable death, to dominate the two industrial estates, but also the innocent for no reason the next generation so that they also suffered a bitter defeat. This crazy revenge Xiehen, seemingly perverse in common sense, but most vividly expressed his extraordinary spirit of rebellion, which is a special environment, special character, determined by the specific resistance. Heathcliff's love tragedy is a social tragedy, the tragedy of the times. "Wuthering Heights" Heathcliff is a story of revenge to achieve the purpose of committing suicide had ended. His death is a kind of sentimentalism, expressed his enduring love of life and death of Catherine, a coverlet of Health can not be dead, is also seeking the pursuit of love with the hole. Before dying he gave up the idea of revenge in the next generation found that he had a good nature, but because of the harsh realities of his twisted nature, forcing him to become ruthless tyranny. The recovery of this human nature is a kind of spiritual sublimation, shines with authors of humanitarian ideals. "Wuthering Heights" after the publication has been considered to be in English literature in the history of a "most peculiar novel," is a "mystery" and "strange books." Because it is a contemporary work against the prevailing mood of sentimentalism, but with a strong love, hate and violent replaced by the ruthless revenge, instead of deep sorrow and melancholy. The whole story make people’s mood heavy. Fortunately, the end is happy.
