Today there is more and more pollution and the environment is becoming worse and worse. If we take no immediate and effective steps to protect our environment, human beings may be the next species to become extinct.
Especially in Xi’an City.iThese days there appears sand storm in Xi’an City.I can’t stand it.In my hometown,I have never seen sand storm before.Compared with Xi’an, the environment in my hometown is much better.
Man and the environment are closely related. Man relies on the environment for water, food and shelter. A harmonious relationship between man and the environment is essential for human survival on the earth.In my hometown,the environment is very good
However, man and the environment have never been on such bad terms as they are now.
Protect the environment is no time to delay.Here are some of my suggestion. First, we can stop driving our personal cars.Instead,we can take bus or ride a bicycle to work.Not only can it protect environment,but also it is good for our health.
Second,we should try our best to plant more trees or grassland.Because trees and grassland can make our air cleaner.
Next we should popularize the use of renewable energy in place of the fossil fuel.As we all know,burning fossil fuel will release a lot of harmful gas such as the carbon dioxide.Carbon dioxide is reported to be the main reason of the Greehouse Effect.If we do not cut the discharge of the carbon dioxide,the weather is going to be hoter and hoter.That is terrible,because I don’t like summer.What is more,with the global temperature continue rising up, the sea level is rising,too.It is very likely that one day in the future,there will be no more some coastal cities,such as Shanghai,Los Angles and the Hong Kong.These cities are just the some of the biggest cities in the world.If they are covered under the sea,our ecnomy growth will sl

I feel so happy to have the chance to make a speech. The title of my speech is “Protect the Environment”. I hope you will like it.
Everybody knows waste paper and used coke cans are discarded everywhere. You might have seen plastic bags flying in the sky and getting caught in the trees when the wind blows or maybe you have seen old cans floating in the rivers. Our environment is the place which we live, but it is being ruined by us. There is a story about a house and trees. It is said that a man’s house was surrounded by a lot of trees. Though the wind was strong, that man could have a good rest under the trees. How comfortable the life was! One day, that man wanted to enlarge his house, so he cut down all the trees. Then the autumn came without the protection. The strong wind blew the roof of the house into the sky. The whole house was gone with the wind. What a pity! But that’s the price people have to pay for destroying in the ecology balance. People shouldn’t be
short-sighted. Protecting the environment is everyone’s task. As you know, there are four kinds of pollution. They are air pollution, water pollution, waste pollution and noise
pollution. But what can we do to solve the pollution? I think, first, we can make cars that don’t pollute the environment. Second, we can try to use less water and make sure that we do not pollute the water. Third, we should not throw rubbish in the parks. We can pick up rubbish if we see it. Fourth, we can live far from the noise.
The air, water and the whole atmosphere directly influenced our lives, such as the air, people may cough and it will lead to cancer. So we must try our best to keep the world clean and tidy. You might ask yourself, “Have I ever picked up some rubbish and thrown it into a dustbin? Have I ever collected waste paper or bottles for recycling?” If your answers are “Yes”, it means that you have already done something useful to improve the environment.

environment. .But what can we do? How to protect our environmemt? For example, we can go to school on foot or by bike . we can use shopping basskets not plastic bags .when we go shopping and we can use both sides of the paper when we write .In a word ,if everyone pays more attention to our environment ,there will be less pollution and our life will be better. Nowadays, the environmental matter is a hot topic. Not only does it affect our health, it also has a great influenceon our future. As we all know, with the development of society,the environmentis gettingworseand worse. Insomeplaces,water is polluted ,people have no clean water to drink. Many trees and animals are getting less and lessbecause of environmental pollution. Furthermore, a number of people have been killed by air pollution and water pollution. Pollution is, in fact, threatening our existence.So I think we should do something to protect the environment.
In my opinion,the earth is our home and we have the duty to take care of it for ourselves and our next generation.As far as I can see, we should do from little things in order to protect the environment. It is well-known that from little things,big things grow.For example,we can go to school on foot or by bike. We can use shopping baskets instead of the plastic bags when we go shopping. How to Protect the Earth
The earth is our home. We should be kind to it. How does our earth turn better? Here are some tips. Firstly, we should know the important of environmental protection. Secondly, as a student, we shouldn’t litter paper and empty bottles everywhere. We should keep our environment clean and tidy. Thirdly, we can plant more kinds of trees in our spare time, they can make fresh air. What’s more, saving the energy is very important. As a student, we can do a lot in our daily life.
For example, we should keep the light off when we don’t use it. We should take a shower instead of a bath to save water. Don’t keep the tap running when you wash your face or brush your teeth. When we go shopping, we can take cloth bags instead of using plastic bags. Many people write on only one side of the paper. Why not try to use both?【protect,the,environment】
To save the energy, we should also reduce pollution. Recycling old newspapers, glasses,
cans and waster paper is also a good idea.

The Best Way to Protect The Environment
Environmental pollution is one of the major problems of the modern world. And it has caused a heated debate on the best way to protect the environment. Many ways can help to solve the this serious problem, but on my personal note, the best way to protect the environment is to enhance people’s environmental awareness.
There are several reasons accounting for my opinion.
In the first place, there will be no action when there is no awareness. As long as people have the consciousness to protect the environment, they will start to do so, such as to classify the garbage, to recycle and reuse the resources and so on. Although individual strength is limited, the power of one person becomes evident when million of other Chinese pay attention to protect the environment in daily life. It dose take a genius to imagine what would the world be like when people have no awareness to protect the environment. It would be terrible and unbearable assuredly.
What’s more, it is more reliable to believe the whole country people’s strength rather than the renovation projects or the environmental protection laws. Even if the power of science is formidable--it can transform a dirty and polluted
river into a clean one, people’s unconsciousness of environmental protection will ruin the renovation projects’ fruit. Likewise, the environmental protection laws without people’s support are like the eagles without wings. In this way, no one can deny the fact that people’s environmental awareness is the basic and fundamental condition to protect the environment.
In addition, it is the most cost-saving and labor-saving way compared with other ones to protect the environment, such as the renovation projects. When people’s environmental awareness is enhanced, the origin of the environmental pollution is held back. In this way, what the government and the relevant departments should do is to spread more knowledge of environmental protection, and to supply the technical support when it is necessary. It is clear that it can save a large amount of money which would be used to carry out the renovation projects.
Considering what are mentioned above, the best way to protect the environment is to enhance people’s environmental awareness. Now it comes to the concrete action to enhance people’s environmental awareness.
One way is to strengthen students’s environmental awareness education. The quality of the environment in the
future depends on the younger generation’s environmental awareness. Another way is to strengthen publicity and education to enhance the whole nation’s environmental awareness. Environmental publicity and education is the basic for environmental protection.
