5、水蜜桃种类较多，如大白凤、小白凤、湖景等。水蜜桃可分成早桃和晚桃。早桃成熟期在六七月份，晚桃成熟期在七八月份。整个夏天，种桃的人都是很忙碌的。秋天，果农又忙着给桃树修剪、施肥、除草、翻土，争取明年得到更好的收成。
6、成熟的水蜜桃略呈球形，表面裹着一层短短的绒毛，青里泛白，白里透红。水蜜桃皮很薄，()果肉丰富，宜于生食，入口滑润不留渣子。刚熟的桃子硬而甜，熟透的桃子软而多汁，吃时宜轻轻拿起，小心地把皮撕下去；其滋味恐怕恐怕可以和王母娘娘的蟠桃互相比较了。这样的果品，对于老年人和牙齿不好的人来说，是难得的夏令珍品。

8、吃剩下的核就是水蜜桃的种子，外壳呈长扁形，两端稍尖，表面疙疙瘩瘩的，此较硬。核由两片合成，敲开便可看到桃仁。桃仁可以吃，也可以入药。将桃核种入泥土，它先长出胚芽，将壳胀裂，逐渐长成一株树苗。
9、桃子有很多种，有毛桃、有油桃、有水蜜桃……可是它们大不相同哦!就像毛桃和油桃毛桃的皮上有很多小茸毛，就像披了一件小白纱。而油桃的皮却很光滑，一根小茸毛都没有，它的皮可以让孩子当滑滑梯来玩了。我想我大概知道毛桃为什么叫毛桃了，因为它的皮就像涂了一层油一样滑。桃子的形状就像一颗“心”一样，它总把“头”和“脖子”歪到一边，就像一个害羞的小姑娘。
10、四，五月期间，桃树上缀满了一个个笑歪了嘴的“小娃娃”----桃子。桃子毛茸茸的，遍身有小毛，颜色各式各样:黄色，红里透黄，红里透青。它们的“肚子”‘’上都有一道缝，仔细一看，“肚皮”上长了许多“雀斑”。
